23-roll leveler in copper-nickel composite bimetallic materials(Cupronickel)

Copper-nickel composite bimetallic material(Cupronickel) is a necessary material for new energy vehicle battery packs, communication equipment, electrical components, etc., which not only has very good conductivity, but also can meet the required strength of connection and plugging. The metallurgical combination of copper and nickel is achieved by thermal composite processing.

Due to its high specific strength and good conductivity, this kind of bimetallic strip has been widely used in new energy vehicles, electronic information and other fields. However, due to the different ductility of these two materials, this composite material often takes on an “arch” shape after cold rolling.

The plate shape of the rolled copper-nickel composite strip directly affects the yield of the connecting piece stamping. Straightness is one of the important indicators to measure the quality of copper-nickel strip products, and with the continuous improvement of users’ requirements for strip straightness, the control and improvement of strip straightness is becoming increasingly important.

Due to the characteristics of this bimetallic material, we should consider strengthening and releasing bending stress while designing the continuous tension leveling unit to eliminate the plate shape defects, and relatively weaken the tensile stress.

When designing, multiple bending and multi-roll leveler are used to strengthen the bending stress relief, so as to obtain a better plate shape. This bimetallic material plate shape treatment should not only ensure a small material elongation, but also ensure that the width direction is not extensible.

Continuous stretching, bending and straightening technology is an important means to eliminate strip plate shape defects and improve strip quality, and the 23-roll leveler produced by our company has rich experience in alloys.
